Zirbenweg XL: The Legendary Alpine Trail
The Zirbenweg is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful mountain trails in the Alps, and we’ve made it even better for trail runners by extending it to the XL version, so you can enjoy its stunning landscapes for even longer. This panoramic trail, winding through ancient Swiss stone pines (Zirben), offers breathtaking views of the Karwendel peaks and the Inntal valley. Some of the oldest Swiss pines here are over 250 years old, with one reaching over 700 years. From May onwards, the path is adorned with a vibrant sea of alpine roses. The XL version includes an additional ascent to the majestic Neunerspitze and Viggarspitze, making it the perfect trail for those who want to fully immerse themselves in this alpine paradise.

Gaistal Run: Under the Watchful Eyes of Hohe Munde
Gaistal offers a gentle yet captivating run under the watchful gaze of Mount Hohe Munde, nestled between Teufelsgrat and other stunning Tirol peaks. The Leutasch river and gorge wind through this beautiful valley, surrounded by alpine vibes, lush forests, and the occasional cow. The route features a steady, gentle uphill climb with 350m of vertical over 9 km, followed by a pleasant downhill return. Along the way, you’ll pass Gistalalm and Hämmermoosalm, perfect for water refills and refreshing dips in nearby streams. Customize your run with intervals or try the full Gaistal route for a truly unforgettable challenge.

IATF 2023 – K35 Discovery Race
The IATF 2023 K35 Discovery Race is one of the classics of the Innsbruck Alpine Trail Race. This 35km run takes you through a diverse range of terrain, starting from the charming mountain town of Grinzens, descending to the Inn River, and climbing up to the majestic Nordkette. With a proper elevation gain and loss, you’ll experience a mix of forest trails, speed hiking sections, and high alpine rocky terrain. The race combines challenging long uphills, fast sections, and a thrilling descent, all finishing in the vibrant heart of Innsbruck—Austria’s best mountain city.
