The Rätikon region, where the trails can still be quiet and where you run over the border to Switzerland. In summer, the Rätikon region is still overlooked by many, but not by us. In this route, we show you a beautiful trail running route you can do and cross the technically easy Sulzfluh. Up for more technical terrain? Then we recommend doing the Schesaplana.
This route offers both beauty and challenge, with its stunning landscapes and technically easy paths. For the ultimate experience, we recommend staying at the Lindaeur Hutte either before or after your adventure. But if you’re up for a real challenge, you can opt for the round trip to the valley, adding 12 km and 750 meters of elevation gain to your journey!
With a total distance of 22km and an elevation gain of 1800 meters, this trail promises some pain the the legs. Looking for a slightly shorter trek? Simply skip the Partnunsee section, reducing the distance to 17km with 1400 meters of elevation gain. And for those seeking a more moderate outing, skipping the Sulzfluh segment offers a 15km trail with 1000 meters of elevation gain.
The best part? Most of the elevation gain occurs at the beginning, the ascent by the Bikengrat. So, whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or a hiking enthusiast (let’s be real, we all hike those uphills, right? 😜), this route offers something for everyone.
