In this workshop, you’ll learn how to train your mindset for longer trail runs, break through mental barriers, and maintain your focus during the run. Perfect for both beginners and experienced trailrunners.
Morning Workshop 2: Nutrition Basics for Trailrunners
What should you eat before, during, and after a trail run? This workshop covers the proper nutrition and hydration for trailrunners, with tips on energy maintenance and preventing dehydration or energy crashes.
Afternoon Trail Run – 15 km or 25 km
Focus: Trailrunning Techniques
Learn how to run trails efficiently and safely, with techniques for uphill, downhill, and technical paths. During this run, you will receive tips to improve your speed and technique while preventing injuries. A practical way to apply the morning workshop’s theory to the terrain.
Morning Workshop: Planning – Trail Run Preparation and Navigation
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to plan your trail run properly. We cover route planning, navigation with compass and GPS, and how to ensure you're prepared for unfamiliar terrain. We will also focus on estimating time, assessing fitness levels, and choosing the right route based on weather and terrain conditions.
Morning Workshop: Essential Gear for Trailrunning
This workshop covers the essential gear needed for trailrunning, from shoes to backpacks, clothing, and navigation tools. We discuss the best choices for different types of terrain and weather conditions and how to select the right gear for your trail run.
Afternoon Trail Run – 15 km or 25 km with Gear Test
Participants can choose between a 15 km or 25 km trail, with the opportunity to test out gear from the morning workshop. This allows them to experience how different gear affects their trailrunning experience. From trailrunning shoes to backpacks and navigation equipment, everyone can find out what works best for them during the run.

BBQ on Day 1: Enjoy a relaxed evening with a BBQ at Kumbu Lodge, the perfect opportunity to unwind, refuel, and connect with fellow participants after an exciting day of trailrunning and workshops.
Guided Trail Run: Each day, we’ll embark on guided trail runs with experienced trailrunning guides. Whether you’re joining for one day or both, you’ll have the chance to run through the stunning landscapes of the Sallandse Heuvelrug, with routes designed for various fitness levels.
Try Out Different Kinds of Sports Nutrition: During the event, you’ll have the opportunity to sample various sports nutrition products tailored to trailrunning. Learn which products best suit your body and needs, helping you make the right choices for long runs in the future.
